What’s the 7th man from Adam? And that he prophesied of certain things were getting there. A quick recap about Enoch. Number one, that he was the son of Jared Genesis 518 2. He was the father of Methuselah Genesis 521. He was also the great grandfather of Noah when you count and he was the 7th man from Creation. Hallelujah then. The Bible tells us that he lived for 365 years before he was taken by God. He lived for 365 years. Now they are very three important.
Facts about Enoch that concern us in this brief discussion tonight as we pray. Three important facts about Enoch. Number one is found in Genesis Chapter 522 and then 24. Genesis chapter 5. Please. The Bible says an Enoch walked with God and Enoch walked with God. Please keep 22 again and Enoch walked with God after he began. Methuselah 300 years and begot sons and daughters. In spite of his normal life leading his normal human life, the Bible isolated that man to give us a very important information that he worked with God as though the rest did not work with God. Why would the Bible isolate this man we see from Scripture? Noah walked with God, several other people walked with God, but there was something about Enoch and his work with God. The Bible had to isolate that experience and to repeat it twice. Verse 24, Genesis 5. Again, the Bible says I’m Enoch walked with God.
And he was not. For God took him. Now this is very powerful. He walked with God verse 22 sand information the Bible gives us while bearing children and leaving his human life. He walked with God. And then another dimension of press verse 24 that he walked with God to a point that he did not taste natural death. He says for God to keep. It’s important for us to know who took him. Because there are many things about Enoch we need to study. Bible says better is the end of a thing than the beginning. If the Bible left us in the dark as to who took him, we have a right to conclude that he backslided or something happened or he disappeared but the Bible says God himself took him. That means we are sure of the end of the man. We can trust whatever is written about him for our learning. Is someone learning now? Enoch walked with God information 1 2.
The second information about Enoch is found in June 1. OK, Hebrews 11 verse five meant to say Hebrews 11 and verse five. That’s where we find the second information. It says by Faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death and was not found because God had translated him. Watch this now, for before his translation he had this testimony, not that he lived long, not that he was a prophet. And you, professor, accurately not that he had many children and one of his sons became the longest living man. There were many other things that were worthy testimonies, but here Paul is speaking to the the Hebrews and he tells them that he had this testimony that he pleased God. What did testimony? The second fact about him is that he had a testimony that he pleased God. 3 is found in Georgia’s chapter one. Georges, chapter one, and we’ll begin our reading from verse 14 while reading down to 25. Not, I said. Georges. Jude, my apologies. Jude 114 to 25. Jude has only one chapter. Now watch this, the Bible says, and Enoch, also the seven from Adam, prophesied. So that guy was not an ordinary man. He was not just a family man. He prophesied of these saying, behold the Lord comment with 10 thousands of his sins. While reading to 25 next bus, to execute judgement upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are marmoratus complainers, walking after their own lusts, and their own mouths picked great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
Look at what this guy was professing but beloved. Remember he the words which were spoken before of the apostles of the Lord were reading to 25. How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time who should walk after their own ungodly. Costs 19. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 he says, and of some have compassion making a difference. 23 and others save with fear, pulling them out of fire, hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. 2 more verses now on to him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory. With exceeding Joy, 25 the last verse to the only wise God our saviour be glory and Majesty, Dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. So we see here that.
